When using these products I have to say I find myself in Evolve organic beauty heaven, they are that good. This affordable British brand uses natural ingredients that deliver really good results and are a real pleasure to use.
I hadn’t come across Evolve until this year, and I have to say I’m really impressed after having used a few products from the range over the last month.
A bit about the brand : This natural organic English beauty brand for face, body and hair, was founded and is run by Laura Rudoe. To enable freshness of the products, they are handmade in small batches using natural and organic ingredients of ; oils, butters and superfoods, of which are sourced worldwide. They are based in Hertfordshire and, in 2015, they launched a new and wider range of products to add to their existing brand. The products are natural yet affordable, and perform just as well as many high end and synthetic brands.
Evolve Gentle Cleansing Melt
This is a cleanser I cannot stop using. It’s beautiful and does a great job of cleansing whilst allowing a fab skin massage while you work the product into the face and neck. It performs well when it comes to the removal of makeup, including waterproof mascara, plus it’s suitable for dry and sensitive skins.
Ingredients : Glycerin*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) seed oil*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Oil*, Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Seed Oil*, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Extract*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Water*, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil*, Sucrose Laurate, Tocopherol. *ingredients from organic farming
The Baobab oil is an antioxidant, great for nourishing and rejuvenating the skin.
I find you can’t rush this little number. As a melt, I turn the bottle upside down and find myself waiting for the contents to poor slowly into my hand. This product doesn’t rush, which I find helps me take a deep breath before I cleanse, and it’s worth the wait. This syrup like texture smells so good, and even tastes lovely as it skims over the lips (although I wouldn’t advise eating it!).
Once emulsified, it can be worked into the face and neck, and at first has a slight warming sensation during initial massage, yet it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Add a little water and it turns into a milk. Removal just takes warm water and a good cotton face flannel, job done. Skin is left clean, bright and incredibly soft. I absolutely love it! It’s gone on to my faves list and I need to purchase more.

When I first applied a large pea-sized amount of this day cream, as it took a little more effort to work into the skin, I thought it would be heavy and was going to sit on the surface. Well, my fears soon disappeared as, I looked for some makeup and then, when looking back at the mirror, the cream had gone. My skin had absorbed it really well, and my skin is currently not dry, just dehydrated. My skin was moisturised and felt soft and bouncy, plus had an amazing glowy finish to it. I don’t use everyday, but most days when I feel my skin needs nourishment, another winner for me after using for a few weeks now.
The image below shows Evolve’s packaging, no fancy designs but simple and clean looking, which helps keep costs down.
Evolve Sunless Glow Body Lotion
Living in the UK, we don’t get much chance to enjoy the sun with our frustrating British summertime. However, I feel faux-tanning is now a regular part of many a beauty routine, so using gradual tanners that give a natural bit of colour and glow are a fab way of looking and feeling good, whatever the weather.
This Sunless boy lotion is easy to use, moisturising the skin and giving a subtle colour, depending on how often you use it. I tend to use every other day or every 2-3 days is enough to look naturally tanned, and it’s super quick as the application is just as you would apply a body lotion. It contains Erythrulose, (red berries and sour tart sugar based), which reacts with the Keratin in the skin to produce a tanned colour. Aloe Vera will calm any redness in the skin, whilst the Shea will provide fatty acids and Vitamins.
Of course, exfoliating regularly, especially dry areas, plus using a light hand over elbows, ankles and knees is the usual requirement for faux-tanning to achieve good results.
Ingredients : Aqua (Water), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*, Glyceryl Stearate, Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter*, Cetearyl Alcohol, 1,3-Dihydroxy-2-proponone, D-erythrulose, Parfum (Fragrance), Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder*, Coco-Glucoside, Sucrose Stearate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Coconut Alcohol, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, Linalol, d-Limonene. *Ingredients from Organic Farming
99% Natural 86% Organic
As you can see from the above image, there’s no guide colour, it just looks like a body lotion. Mind you, when I say lotion, it has substance so it’s in no way runny, but more like a light cream. It’s very moisturising due to the Shea Butter, plus there’s no biscuit smell, but a fruity scent from the papaya and berries. A little goes a long way and I always work it into the skin covering well, making sure to wash hands afterwards, as tanned palms are not a good look.
You can see by the below image, where I have applied 2 applications to one arm (after around 10 days of no self-tanning), the colour result is good and natural looking.
I’m loving using this, it’s simple and produces results, plus it’s a natural tanning product. After the 1st couple of applications a few weeks ago, I was pleased with the results. Si said I looked like I’d been on holiday and how natural it looked, which was good to know. I get the feeling he’ll be pinching mine for a bit of colour before our holiday! *hands off fella*
After using these products, I find I really am in Evolve Organic Beauty heaven, and a new fan of the brand. I now want to use more from the range as regulars in the future. Due to the ingredients, the affordability and the results I’ve had, I want to say “Congrats” to Evolve on such a fab brand!
