When it comes to Bobbi Brown Extra skincare range, I find there’s some real must-haves, and I’m constantly relying on this range as my winter skin essentials. Along with these extra product best-sellers, I also want to share the beautiful limited edition Luxe & Fortune collection, launched in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Right..let us peruse.
Extra Skincare Range ~ Fresh Start, Fresh Skin
Winter skin needs all the extra help it can get, what with cold weather and heating zapping the life out of our skin. So right now, I find it makes sense using the Extra range from Bobbi Brown, and the results I find are fab. With sumptuous, nurturing and glow inducing products, skin is rehydrated, plumped up and looking alive. Being a fresh new year, it’s the ideal time to get glowing by kick starting your skincare routine.
Extra Eye Repair Cream
This rich and sumptuous eye cream works amazingly well on tired, puffy and dark under eyes, as well as being super hydrating on those fines lines. All that..coming from someone who has never really liked eye creams! Even as an ex-beauty therapist, I have only ever found 2 eye products I liked/had results, in over 30 years! For best results, I warm a small amount of the cream on the tips of 3 fingers to emulsify, then press gently into the skin around the under the eye area. Once absorbed, it’s great pre-concealer (if using), in the morning, but a really good nighttime product to help treat eye area problems.
“Formulated with Extra Repair Complex—a combination of clary sage ferment and argireline®—to target skin aging on two levels: by helping boost skin’s natural collagen production and fortifying the skin’s protective moisture barrier.” ~ Bobbi Brown UK
Vitamin Enriched Face Base :
I find this moisturiser so helpful in winter (well, all year round really), and a perfect makeup prep. It’s recommended on the site for normal to oily skins, although it suits my dehydrated skin, I simply love it. A hybrid product that nurtures and cares for the skin, whilst helping achieve a glowing finish. Containing Shea Butter, Vitamins B, C and E, plus Geranium and Grapefruit oils (which uplift mood), it helps skin to look flawless and dewy. Go back through this blog, e.g. here, along with my Instagram feed, and you’ll see its one of my can’t live without BB products, and I highly recommend it!
Illuminating Moisture Balm ~ Bare Glow
A multi-task product delivering a lit from within glow, whilst moisturising and re-energising the look/feel of skin. Containing Shea butter, oils and pearl particles, this balm gives bare skin a realistic dewy appearance, and when applied under foundation, it simply gives your look some extra. It’s lightweight, non-greasy but provides moisture, although I use over the top of VEFB (see above), for my sumptuous ‘extra’. It can also be dabbed over cheekbones and collarbones to highlight, another nous is that it comes in a twist/pump container. This is great for those who don’t want a highlighter picked up via satellite imaging.! A fab layer of extra moisture, adding luminosity to the skin, so, with all the grey skies lately.. I’m all over this right now!
Extra Lip Tint ~ Bare Pink

The limited edition Luxe and Fortune for the year ahead, this collection contains some really warm shades to brighten up your look in the gloomy winter season. Highlighting Powder ~ Sunset Glow (Ltd Ed.)
I think everyone should have at least one BB highlighter, they aren’t over the top or all glittery. This powder highlighter is a pretty golden-pink shade, and looks lovely and dewy on the cheeks. I also find is great layered on us an eyeshadow, for an ethereal pop of colour.
Luxe Liquid Lip Rich Metal
The Luxe liquid lip re-booted in limited edition foil finish shades. These can be worn alone, or layered over a lipstick to add bold, shimmery glam to a fave shade. These are non-sticky and feel lovely on the lips, and are really creamy and pigmented. You can go full-on 90’s gloss queen for going ‘out-out’, or for a day look, simply dab over with a fingertip for a more subtle finish.

Jewelled Rose Luxe Eyeshadow Palette
I don’t think I’ve stopped using these eyeshadows in the last few weeks, the shades are just so pretty. If you love warm shades, then this luxury palette is right up your street. There is a mixture of matte and shimmer shades, which allow a bright, fresh look for winter. I find these definitely suit my green eyes, but would work for most colours, and I can’t get over how extra special this Luxe collection packaging is!
