Intensify Hair Shades with Infuse My. Colour Washes

If you colour your hair like me, then you’ll know that it can fade or become dull. I don’t often come across too many non-chemical colour shampoos, especially which are Vegan friendly. Wether you want vibrancy to funk up your dulling colour, or tone done brassiness, then check out the recent launches from Infuse My. Colour.

Infuse My. Colour shampoos were created by Denis & Rob, owners of UK brand My.Haircare. These vibrant colour washes contain NO sulphates, parabens or silicone, and are 100% Vegan friendly, to refresh colour, revive tones and add vibrancy to coloured hair.

As they are partial colourants, be aware that they may stain clothing and textiles, whilst white or light bathroom tiles will need a wipe. Although no where near as messy as dyeing your hair, treat them as you would hair dyes regarding your bathroom and textiles, and ‘no problemo’. I find these are super easy to use, and hair colour is left shiny, with enhanced with vibrant tones.

Infuse My. Colour Wash ~ Copper

The Copper formula will help upkeep the brightness of the following hair colours ; Copper (obvs), Auburn, deep Strawberry Blondes and warm Browns. Plus, it will add warm/peachy tones to bleached hair. It has a delicious fruity fragrance and infuses colour, locking it into the hair shaft, smoothing the cuticles. I find if you have product build up, you may need to use a little of your usual shampoo through the ends, then use the colour wash twice all over.

To use : Apply a generous amount to wet hair, shampoo evenly throughout the hair. Then rinse and repeat. Follow with your usual conditioner. Use each hair wash to achieve your desired effect, then switch back to your usual shampoo for a while.

Ingredients : Aqua, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, PEG-4 Rapeseedamide, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Polyquaternium-7, Laureth-8, Cocotrimonium Chloride, Glycol Distearate, Laureth-4, Benzophenone-4, Butoxyethanol, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Quaternium 80, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Parfum, Disodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Hydroxypropyl guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, Mica, Formic Acid, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, [+/- HC Yellow 2, HC Blue 12, 4-Hydroxypropylamino-3-Nitrophenol, Basic Brown 17, Basic Red 51, Basic Blue 99, Basic Red 76, Basic Brown 16, Basic Yellow 57, Acid Violet 43, CI 77491, CI 77891]

I recently lightened my hair from a Plum shade, and went back to my (almost), natural brunette colour. Then after recently using the Copper shampoo around twice a week, it brings out the Auburn in my hair, much like the sun did when I was young. After using for just 2 weeks, this is the result in direct sunlight (below), and I was quite surprised when loading this photo (not filtered or lightened). I now switch the Copper wash with other shampoos around, depending on vibrancy needs.

Infuse My. Colour Wash ~ Ruby

This is a vibrant colour shampoo for all redheads, red browns, deeper burgundy and plums. It will also create striking pinks to bleached/blonde hair. I may add the Ruby in next to see what tones I get, and I’m looking forward to using it more often, when I switch my colour to a deep red later in the summer.

Other washes : Gold ~ maintain brightness on all blondes, Cobalt ~ funk up a creative blue or, subdue warmth and maintain depth of dark blonde, and all browns. Platinum ~ will neutralise yellow, plus maintain grey, white, pale blonde, plus highlighted hair.

I’m definitely impressed with efficacy of these colour washes, and without chemical nasties and being suitable for Vegans, what’s not to love?! They make me want to experiment further, to see which produces the best effects in my hair, yup…just colour me happy. If you have cray cray Unicorn shades, then it looks like the world could be your oyster with these vibrant shampoos!

Infuse My. Colour shampoos are available from Boots and Beauty Mart priced £13-95 for 270 ml. Colours available are : Gold, Copper, Platinum, Cobalt and Ruby.

I’d love to know if you have coloured hair and these excite you. Or, your results if you’ve used any already!
