Nailed – Sumptuous A/W Polish Shades

Nail colours are a great accessory for any look, so why not get it nailed with some polishes for the new season. I have a small selection of on trend mani and pedi shades to share with you, including Nails inc, OPI and Orly.

Orly Nail Polish – £9.95

From the new ‘Velvet Dream’ collection from Orly for the A/W 2017, Silken Quartz is a beautiful pale rose gold. It sits so well with the warm pinks that are hot this season, and this shade is so pretty. With its professional creamy formula and pearly shimmer finish, this applies to nails smoothly and evenly, and  would look lovely on fingers day or night.

I love this really feminine colour as it goes with so many of the metallic looks, both in fashion and makeup for this season. Daywear, parties or even winter weddings, I can see this being a popular shade from the new collection.

Also, from the Orly summer Coastal Crush collection, this fab blue shade, Under The Stars, is another winner going through this season. With blues being a another colour trend, this would look fab on the toes with party sandals, or teamed with blacks, greys and denims through winter. Loving the blue eyeliner look? Match it up with this vibrant blue and its glossy finish.

Nails Inc Holler-Graphic Duo – £15

This double act is a fave of mine, and all the unicorn fans out there will love them too. Still sitting within the metallic trend, these have a chromatic finish with sparkly particles shot through the formulations. No crusty glitter, these are smooth and sleek.

With the pro-wide brush, these glide on smoothly, just give them a good shake to distribute the formula within before application. The colours morph and change when moving your digits, especially in sunlight or under spotlights, and are a must-have for those who love to sparkle and shine (see more images below).

OPI Iceland Collection – £12-50 each 15ml bottle (other colours and various mini collections available)

Influenced by the beauty of Iceland, the new A/W collection is based on the country’s natural wonders – Fire, Ice, Air and Moss. OPI professional lacquers are easy to apply with their wide brush leaving a seamless finish, and their creamy pigmented formulas last well.

Left to Right (below) – Aurora Berry-alis, One Heckla of a Colour, Icelanded a Bottle of OPI and Less is Norse.

Araura Berry-alis, One Heckla of a Colour

Berry shades are always a big hit for A/W and Lilac is huge for the season this year too. These gorgeous colours do not disappoint for fingers or toes, day or night. Easily able to brighten up dull days, they also sit well with all the fashion colours for the season.

This grey-blue goes so well with denims, and looks amazing teamed with greys or berry tones. I actually prefer this to many dark blues out there right now, it has an easy, smart-casual look when on the nails.

Icelanded a Bottle of OPI

You cannot go wrong with a nude as they are so versatile, something that every polish lover should have in their collection. This shade is dreamy and slightly latte-esque, and will go with absolutely everything in your wardrobe. It is chic, classic and can easily be worn for work with a smart suit, but looks just as good teamed with a chunky knit for weekends.

Less is Norse

As much as I love summer, A/W colours are always seem to feel so much more exciting. Colour can alter our mood, and with grey skies a plenty for a few months ahead, we need lots of it. Nail colours work as accessories to go with our outfits for day or night, and with new colours, it is fun to start planning outfits for the season ahead.

No doubt I will be adding more to my polish stash, but for now, I am having fun with these gorgeous colours and loving the formulations from these brands.

I would love to know what new nail shades you have bagged recently, and also if any of these are calling your name!
