Some handy little gems I’ve come across lately are these fab aromatherapy balms. Containing essential oils and coming in several different ‘flavours’, these great little balms can be placed beside the bed, popped in a pocket, work desk drawer or handbag. These mood changing buddies are such a convenient way of aromatherapy inhalation, worth trying these fabulous Scentered balms – stop, inhale, reset your mood with these natural gems.
A bit about the brand : the creation of Scentered came about in 2011 from Lara Morgan and Fay Pottinger, both professionals and with interest and knowledge in aromatherapy. Their aim? To create an aromatherapy based product that was portable, non-messy and with performing, well blended oils to help women transform their mood, whilst living busy lifestyles. Fay herself suffered chronic fatigue years ago which was another reason behind the creation of the brand, whilst Lara had experience of using aromatherapy to help keep her on track whilst running an International business and bringing up a family. They got together with British perfumers to create the range of fragrances, each one boasting up to 25 botanicals and essential oils resulting in beautiful perfumed balms. Not tested on animals and with 100% natural products (and no hidden additives), Scentered balms are a fabulous innovation, and a useful, easy way to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy ‘wherever or whenever’.

The image below shows the tinned version of the Escape balm, which I have been using when I feel like a hug or, ‘exactly what it says on the tin’, to gain a feeling of escapism. This blend has a blissful woody scent, most probably from the Oud. It reminds me of relaxing on the sofa at Christmas (as there is a subtle hint of Pine), with Si (my husband) and a mug of hot chocolate with a Sandalwood or Frankincense candle burning. The aroma is decadent and fairly masculine, having a hint of expensive aftershave about it. It just makes me feel good.
Below image is of the Stress Less balm which I am also using. This one is calming and for me, the Neroli scent which I associate with my favourite night time facial balm, just makes me think of relaxing before bedtime, as it evokes a feeling of serene calm, also coming from the Chamomile in the blend.
I switch between the balms depending on my mood as that is what they are about. I take the Stress Less with me when I go shopping and rub on my wrists and just under my ears (pulse points), so I can take a few deep inhalations when needed. The Escape I tend to go for when I want a bit more oomph while I’m typing or, whenI just want to ‘zone out’ in the evening. Both are used and enjoyed as the blends are just right, and I can tell the oils used are of high quality. These are lovely creations, the only trouble is I now want the complete set!
