The Shower Forecast – March + April

Where is the time going?! Apologies, but I really didn’t get the chance to put up a shower edit in March. Time rattles by so fast, plus hubby and are going through a somewhat shitty awful time, with work/money problems, causing worry and stress. So I am combing March + April shower & bath products in one post, including some newbies.

Sebamed Sensitive Skin Shower Gel (with Grapefruit) ~ £9-99 for 25oml

This limited edition shower wash contains Grapefruit and Aloe Vera, and is suitable for sensitive skins. It is 100% soap-free and has the same ph balance of the skin, keeping it healthy whilst cleansing. It is a fresh and zingy scented light gel, ideal for morning showers. This cleanses the skin without irritating or drying it out, helping to keep it moisturised with the emollient ingredient of Allantoin. A great choice for spring for those who are irritated by soap formulas.

Ingredients : Aqua, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glyceryl Oleate, Coco-Glucoside, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Parfum, Allantoin, Citrus grandis fruit extract, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Cl 16255.

Tisserand Neroli & Sandalwood Bath Soak ~ £10-95 for 200 ml

I love Tisserand aromatherapy products, and this bath soak is no exception. It is packed with essential oils including Neroli, Sandalwood, Lavender, Geranium, Bergamot and Patchouli. The 100% natural fragrance is heavenly, ideal for a lovely relaxing bath, to reinvigorate body and mind. Skin is left soft and calmed due to the ingredient of Chamomile, whilst mood is uplifted and refreshed.

Elemis Sea Lavender & Samphire Bath & Shower Milk ~ (coming soon Elemis)

I have been a user of  the Elemis original shower milk for around 14 years, and also like their recent Jasmine version, but not so much the Orchid. This NEW scent blend is blissful, omitting a fresh oceanic aroma, like being stood on a beach enjoying the breeze. This contains Sea Lavender that grows in salty rock pools and on beaches, which has a high resistance to dehydration and protects against free radicals. Also, Samphire (Sea Fennel), which is rich in Vitamin C and produces a soothing scent, plus Lemon and Patchouli essential oils. If you like oceanic/ozone, fresh type fragrances, then this is your bag. This aroma is ideal for the summer months, being fresh and reminiscent of holidays, whilst the Sunflower seed oil and Gylcerine in this shower milk are super conditioning on the skin. I have to say, I’m a little bit in love with this one!

No animal testing, free from artificial colours, SLS, SLES, parabens, DEA or mineral oils.

The English Soap Company Shea Butter Soap in ‘Bluebell’

These natural vegetable soaps are 100% triple milled, so have lasting quality with no soggy stickiness, and no artificial fragrances. The brand offer a wide variety of family sized Shea Butter soaps, this Easter one coming from their occasion range. Perfect for this time of year when Bluebells start carpeting woodland floors, giving off that amazing, powerful scent. If you love Bluebells, you’ll love this scented soap. The high content of Shea Butter produces a rich, creamy lather and is softening on the skin.

Ingredients : Water, Sodium Palmate, Sodium  Palm Kernalate, Parfum, Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, Butyrospermum, Parkii (Shea Butter), C177891, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Iso Eugenol, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, Benzyl salicylate, Cinnamyl alcohol.

No animal testing.

I enjoy using many different shower/bath products, being a total addict of aromas, I use them as mood therapy. Plus I want different textures and skin benefits, and hopefully there is something here for you too. There will be another of this post series in May, when I will be back with more choices for your bathroom stash.

That SebaMed Shower Gel sounds lovely! I’ve heard of the brand but I’ve never tried any of their products before. The Elemis Bath & Shower Milk sounds fab too! Will have to check them both out, especially as I only have a wet room to shower in, these are perfect. :D
