Ultra Woman Daily Multi

As I’ve been going through a bad patch with my health recently, I was happy to start a trial of some supplements in order to see if they can improve my wellbeing. The Ultra Women Daily Multi nutrient caplets have all the vitamins and minerals that I’m hoping will help some of the problems affecting me recently.

Holland and Barrett are a large chain of health stores, as I’m sure most of know, stocking many different supplements that can be helpful throughout times of need for health. It may be worth taking multivitamins if you have health problems where sometimes you can lack in certain nutrients and, also if you are not getting nutrients from the food in your diet if it’s not quite as it should be.

Ultra Woman Daily Multi

For me with Fibromyalgia, the body can lack in nutrients such as Magnesium, Vit B12 and Zinc. Plus, I’ve been going through peri-menopause for the last few years where my hormones are all over the place and periods are either sparse or really close together, but pretty much always involve heavy blood loss. Due to this, I was so anaemic last year I had to take iron prescribed by the GP before I the hospital would do my hip operation and, now it seems I’m be anaemic again. So, Riboflavin, Copper, Vit D, Vit B6 and Calcium, plus other nutrients contained in Ultra Woman should be helpful, not only for the haemoglobin in the blood, but for the thyroid, muscles, bones and issues with fatigue too.

Above image shows the nutritional values of each serving of one-a-day tablets of Ultra Woman caplets.

Info from Holland and Barrett’s site regarding Ultra Woman :

Holland & Barrett’s Ultra Woman is a comprehensive multivitamin and mineral supplement. The synergistic blend of essential nutrients provides nutritional support for women, in a convenient one-a-day coated caplet.
Calcium and Vitamin D are needed for the maintenance of normal bones and muscle function
Copper contributes to normal hair and skin pigmentation, the maintenance of normal connective tissues and iron transport in the body
B vitamins contribute to normal energy yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, with Vitamin B6 specifically contributing to the regulation of hormonal activity
Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin
Selenium contributes to normal thyroid function
Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction as well as the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails

So, I’ve started to take a course of these, one per day with a meal, and I hope to see and feel a difference in my health in around 3 months time. It takes a few months for most supplements to start to have an effect on the body so, I will be back with an update in a few months time, hopefully with some good results.

So, if you have issues like me or, bad periods and fatigue, it might be worth adding something like these into your daily diet but, if unsure check with a health professional for advice. You can find Ultra Woman Daily Multi caplets at £10.49 for a 100 caplets at Holland and Barrett, suitable for just over 3 months supply.

Do you take supplements to help your body through certain times or on a regular basis?

I’ve taken those tablets from time to time, and although you can’t really tell for sure, they do seem to perk me up a bit. The only problem I found is that the tablets themselves are enormous and quite difficult to swallow, hence I probably wouldn’t buy them again.

Hi Joanne, thanks for commenting. Yes, they are a little like horse tablets I agree, however I do swallow them okay. I’m hoping to see some form of results but, it takes 2-3 months to notice effects. Good to hear they helped you feel a little perkier, any positive result is good. Here’s hoping and I will post my results later in Spring.

Do you know if these are suitable for vegetarians? Their website doesn’t seem to have any information on it :\

Hi Khush, I’m afraid it doesn’t say on any of the info I have or the container either, I do know it doesn’t contain fish. I’d suggest maybe pop in a local H&B store & check with the staff. Sorry I can’t help more & thanks for reading.

I have just started my mother on these which really do sound ideal for her. Have you noticed any difference yet?

Hi Sheila, I will be doing my follow up review soon. Not too much difference but a little, but I have Fibromyalgia which does really affect hormones and i’m peri-men too. The body is all over the place. Def help energy a little and any supplement needs to be taken for at least 2-3 months to really see a difference. Let me know how your Mum gets on :)
