Ultrasun Tinted Face SPF

Ultrasun Tinted Face SPF

I’m a huge fan of Ultrasun, and being an ex-beauty therapist, I know how important is it to protect your skin from the sun. Having a product that gives you colour as well as protection is fantastic, and Ultrasun tinted face spf is one of my go-to products in summer.

I’d really like a lot of younger readers out there, to understand that using SPF is the most important skincare product you can use to help prevent ageing of the skin. Using a sunscreen won’t stop you getting a great tan, in fact it will be a better one, especially if you’re prone to sun allergies. We all need sun protection, even through the winter the rays can burn through clouds and cause skin ageing and damage. If only there had been innovative products such as Ultrasun when I was younger, I wouldn’t have the little sun damage aquired from years ago.

Ultrasun is a brand I have come to trust over the last several years, as it has great protection against UVA and UVB rays. Think ageing ~ UVA, rays that penetrate deep into the basal layer of the skin where new cells grow, so the damage will show later in life. Plus burning ~ UVB, and once your skin is red, you’ve burnt, the damage is done. So, buy using a ‘once-aday’ suncare products first in the morning, job done, you’re protected.

Ultrasun Tinted Face SPF

This product has an SPF of 30, enough for daily use in the UK and also abroad once your skin is used to the sun after a couple of days. Ultrasun is a once-a-day application, but it should be applied about 15 minutes prior going out in the sun, preferably after cleansing, but best results are when applied before your serums and moisturisers.

Ingredients : Aqua, Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, Lecithin, Kaolin, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Coco-Caprylate, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol (Nano), Titanium Dioxide (Nano), Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Boron Nitride, Pentylene Glycol, Silica, Ectoin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Decyl Glucoside, Aluminium Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Sorbitan Oleate, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthen Gum, Superoxide Dismutase, Lactoperoxidase, CI 77492, CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77019, CI 77891.

Ultrasun products are waterproof formulas and contain NO perfume, emulsifiers or preservatives and is ideal for anyone who’s prone to sun allergies. It protects against Acne Aestivalis ~ Mallorca acne, and Miliaria ~ prickly heat. It has served my hubs well on holidays abroad really well, so no more itchy red or patchy tan results.

The product containers are airless so they protect the ingredients, and allow full product usage from each bottle.  Shelf life once opened ~ a whole 2 years, whereas many on the shelf sunscreens are usually 6 months. Unopened ~ 3 years.

Ultrasun tinted face SPF, is a broad-spectrum sun screen that contains antioxidants, reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles and helps to restore skin moisture levels. It also contains the enzyme Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), which neutralises damage to the skin from free radicals caused by sun exposure.

Even though the colour in the image below might look scary, it really isn’t as strong as it looks once blended. There are now 2 shades available. You do need to work fairly quickly as this is fast absorbing, so no sticky-icky thick sun protection cream on the face, thankfully. This one is suitable for even very sensitive skin. I get no problems at all with my skin sensitivity using this, whereas products I’ve tried in the past containing spf and tint, made my skin itchy and slightly irritated.

As you can see in the above image, once blended in, you get a hint of a tan with gorgeous glowing skin. See my below shot where I applied it to my face a few days after my faux tan had faded. You can see my neck is lighter, but my face has colour and radiance. (Please excuse the background, it’s a rubbish summer and I needed the best light available). I look tired due to so many headaches I know, but, I have NO makeup on, apart from what is shown in the image that follows, the base is purely the Ultrasun tinted face SPF 30.

I apply the tinted 30, or the brands’ anti-pigmentation 50+ face (info coming soon in another post), as this is fab if you want a bit of colour, or, to enhance a tan. If you sweat the product off, or it comes off on a towel after getting skin wet, you are still protected even though the colour has gone. Yes, you might want to top it up for colour, but all Ultrasun products travel into the deeper layer of skin in order to give full protection. They work until thoroughly washed off at the end of the day, double cleansing for the face is best also with any SPF. There is now also a tinted 50 available, great for those that burn easily and for use in really hot countries.

This one is a fave of mine and I use it instead of a foundation on many a day in the summer, it’s so easy and my face is protected fully. It’s also a fab product to take on holiday, leaving the makeup bases at home. You get colour, a glowing complexion and you’re protected from the sun’s harmful rays. It’s a summer facial sun-screen no-brainer in my book.

Ultrasun Tinted Face SPF is £26 for 50ml, available at Ultrasun UK,

I’d love to know if you’ve tried Ultrasun products or, if you haven’t heard of them and feel a once-a-day is a good idea when it comes to sun protection. Just let me know below ;)
